Hay of 4th Brigade Columbine » previous to G: Ellis's arrival, as well as of that of Capt. Willcox of 4th Steamer "Fury" despatched afterward by your orders & under your aid on the recent occasion when by skill & perseverance of those Officers a formidable fleet of 30 strongly armed piratical vessels and their dockyard at a great distance from this Colony were totally destroyed. We would be wanting to ourselves were we to fail to express our thanks for a service so important. We sincerely trust
